Today, I am going to tell you how to flash your smartphone if your smartphone is running on Qualcomm chipset.

Requirements to flash the firmware using Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL)
- A working detectable USB Cord.
- A Windows PC.
- A Good Battery Backup
- A Qualcomm Image Loader.
- Qualcomm USB Driver.
Note that flashing a stock firmware to your phone erases everything in your phone including contents in internal storage. It is always very advisable to backup your contents to an external storage or a PC. If your phone is bricked and can’t be accessed, I guess there is nothing you can do.
Follow this procedure below if you wish to flash the stock rom.
Flash Qualcomm Firmware using Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL).
- Download and extract Qualcomm Flash Image Loader to your favorite folder.
- Extract Firmware you want to flash.
Open the folder where you extracted Qualcomm Flash Image Loader
- Now Open QFIL.exe.

- Click on the Browse button to locate the extracted firmware for your smartphone.
Locate Firmware File on Qualcomm load Image
- You will need to power off your device and connect it to the PC while off.
- Once the firmware is launched, click on Download.

- Once you click on Download, the flashing process will begin, and might take up to 10 minutes to flash your phone.
- Relax and take a cup of coffee maybe, your phone will auto reboot after the flashing.
- Set up your phone and enjoy it.

What is the password/
I am not sure this is the right forum but I will ask anyway. I am trying to prevent myself from buying a new tablet. I found multiple forums with breadcrumbs on how to update the OS on a Tab 4 10 Plus so before I dispose of the Tab 4 10 Plus I wanted to try to upgrade the OS from 7.1 to Android 9 or 10. It took a lot of effort but I finally got the device to take the TWRP recovery tool but when I reboot the device into the recovery mode to install the new OS using TWRP the Lenovo default recovery console boots.
I can use my computer to start, via command line, the TWRP control interface but of course the nandroid backup and OS install will not work I am thinking because the TWRP console is not the default boot. The Tab is still working fine even in an unlocked state but the lack of OS upgrade is causing issues with apps and functionality.
Any suggestions to get the new recovery console to boot when using vol up and power?
