The best 6 TV series to look forward to in 2022

2021 saw several amazing TV shows that have changed the way the audience watches dramas. From Squid Game to Peaky Blinders, the world of television keeps bringing new perspectives and stories, each better than the one before. It is exciting to think about all the amazing shows we can look forward to watching this year.

Here is a collection of the best 6 TV series that you can anticipate this year. You can rewatch these shows anytime (and however many times you want!) by clicking here to get a TV Aerial installation and watch your favourite shows back-to-back.

1. Lord of the Rings

Ring-of-Power

We can not move forward without talking about the Lord of The Rings TV series that is set to premiere on Amazon this September. The buzz around the series has steadily increased (especially after the release of the trailer) and rightly so! Amazon has made this series one of the most expensive TV series ever (the investment has been of a whooping $1 billion) and people everywhere are super excited. The first season is said to be set before the Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit books and movies.

From what we know, this season is in ‘the fabled Second Age of Middle-earth’s history,’ thousands of years before the events of the books and the series. According to the producers, it is the book that Tolkien never wrote.

The series will show us how the rings came to be and how they affected the dwarfs, the elves, and the men. We (as huge fans ourselves) are hoping it becomes one of the best TV series out there, just like its predecessor movies and books.

2. The Dropout

Based on the real events revolving around the life of Elizabeth Holmes who was named as the “world’s youngest self-made billionaire” by Forbes (it’s a pretty big deal) and how she conned multiple people. The TV-series is also based on a podcast that has been ranking pretty high on apple podcast charts. What’s even crazier? The show was in shooting while the trial was going on.

So what is the deal with Elizabeth and what did she do? The Stanford dropout started a company named Theranos, which allegedly could test blood with the smallest sample ever and had multiple people invest in it, despite the lack of scientific proof that it was possible.

The series is set to explore what made find Theranos, how she conned people, and how her indefinite demise took place. The series is set to feature on March 3.

3. House Of the Dragon

House-Of-the-Dragon

We all know how disappointing the last season of Game of Thrones was. So disappointing that it had some fans crying over it. Well, fret not. The creators have revived themselves by giving us The House Of the Dragon, a prequel set 200 years before the events of the first season (based on Martin’s novel Fire and Blood).

The series will explore how the House Targaryen began, fell and what led to the civil war, also called the dance of dragons. One of the most awaited series of the year, House of Dragon will hopefully cover the damage that Game of Thrones’ last season left us with.

4. Call My Agent

The French hit TV series is now being remade to a UK TV series, which you can watch on a laptop and that has got a global audience buzzing with excitement. The hit comedy series follows four agents of a talent agency that are battling each other for power after the shocking death of their boss.

These melodramatic agents who claim that all they want to do is hold the agency together (and they are not doing this for an increased salary) need to do everything to keep their clients happy so the business doesn’t stop. The hilarious show has a lot of expectations following the success of its predecessor.

5. Pam and Tommy

The biographical drama explores the marriage between actress Pamela Anderson and the drummer of Motley Crue, Tommy Lee, during the illegal public release of their sex tape. The couple was in talks for months as a result, their marriage took a turn for the worst. The series is set out to be released soon and has been highly awaited, making its way into our best TV series to look forward to in 2022.

6. As We See It

People with autism or on the spectrum have rarely ever been represented in the media. As we see it changes that. The authentic series shows exactly how neurodivergent people feel and live. Following three friends in their 20’s who are on the spectrum, the series follows the group as they navigate independence and try to find their purpose in life. The coming-of-age series is exactly what we need right now. Heart-breaking and heart-warming at the same time, the amazon prime series is set to make you want more.
